connection keeps dropping

for the last 2 days the connection to xbox live keeps dropping and kicking me from online games to the point of them being unplayable. the disconnect happens about every 10 mins just as ur getting into a game. ive checked my router and thats not disconnected
at all. ive tried turning it all off for 10 mins still same so the problem has to be with xbox live but apparently the service is all ok which is utter rubbish.

whoever keeps saying this is caused because of your internet connection, it isn’t. They’re probably saying that because they themselves do not have the problem. Idk if they will ever fix it, trust me bud, its gonna last for maybe longer than a week. It
lasted for a whole 7 months for me.

Ive had the same problem now getting worse i cant even connect to my wif but for a split second. I've factory reset my console reset router and modem, tested router and modem on other devices and it works just fine this issue just started today while playing
online. As soon i reset the xbox connection it will work for a minute then it loses connectivity. I'm just wondering if this is a issue or is it my console?

Ah same its so annoying. Anyone who says its related to connection problems, im like 95% sure it isnt. Hopefully they are trying to fix it

Same issue for me since an update about 4 weeks ago. Now just keeps losing connection to Xbox Live a few times an hour (and getting worse). Trouble is, it comes back as quickly as it goes, but by then you've lost connection to the game. Of course that doesn't
make it easy to check for any problems as by the time you do, it's working again.

I have run some checks on both the Xbox and router, to no avail. Oddly it does appear as if the Xbox is still connected and sending/receiving traffic when Live drops out, so now I'm thinking we're seeing a software bug more than an actual network problem.
Like the Xbox software thinks it's lost connection when it actually hasn't (which would explain how and why it's able to come back up again so quickly).

I definitely put this down to some recent update/change as had no problems before then and have friends who are now starting to notice the same. It does however seem as if Microsoft are just trying to say the usual "check your router" line rather than see
it as a major concern. I've seen many threads on here about it and a load on other forums popping up, so I reckon it's getting worse.

As it stands now, I feel there's no point in even playing online or having Live access if I can't use it properly. No fun in trying to play, just knowing that everything will bomb out at any time.
