Connection Issues

My husband and I have always gamed together. Within the last couple of days though, we keep running into a connection issue- we can't connect to each others games. The way it's set up is that we are both connected to independent wireless accounts (He is
on HomeA and I'm on HomeB) (in the same house though) and have OPEN Nat types. Whether we are hard wired or wireless, our NAT types read open, but we just can't join each other's games. In Borderlands, it times out. In Dead Island, it says the game is no longer
available, so on and so forth. We have tried resetting the router, we have tried resetting our consoles. Both boxes are up to date on updates and I am at a very, annoying and frustrating loss. What else can we try?!?!?! PLEASE help....

Upload Speed

Latency

Packet Loss %

Wireless Strength (if applicable)

Modem Manufacturer

Router Manufacturer (if being used) as well as the model number

Update!

With the ethernet cable plugged I experienced no disconnections. I think that the problem is with my flatemates xbox as i've used the wifi adapter at home on my own xbox without problems. I Think i'll just buy a 15m ethernet cable, dont think they are too
expensive.

It's most likely caused by that moderate NAT you say is showing up. You'll need to either port-forward the necessary ports for Xbox LIVE to your Xbox console, or you'll need to put your Xbox in your router's DMZ.
