Connection Issues

hello all,

So recently my Xbox One has been seeing major lag spikes on multiplayer ganes. I've had it for a year and have never had issues until this last week. I have never ran into problems like "rubber banding" or high ping before. My internet is fine and I can
connect to games, but when I am in the lag is crazy. It's not the disc or my wifi and I have updated my Xbox... at this point in time I am running out of ideas on what to do. All ports are open and multiplayer connection test passes every time. Any tip or
tricks would help. Thanks!

Anyone else having issues? My internet seems to be fine, but I've been routinely kicked pretty much all day

Me and @JDemon751 were playing earlier and things were fine.

 

Always make sure your router is running the most current firmware.

Try performing a hard reset on your console EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.

While the console is down go ahead and restart your network equipment (modem/router) by unplugging the for 2 or 3 minutes and then plugging them back up and let them back up and let them restart.

Now plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up an operational test to see if it is functioning better.

Hi Corn, out of curiosity are you experiencing really slow (like 1mbs) downloads from the store or updates yet it speed tests correctly?

 

Speed and connection tests always say it's fine but yes every 10 seconds there will be one second or lag or so... will try the hard reset now!

 

If you get a chance try downloading something from the store and see if your speeds are ridiculously slow.

 

Download speed is fine. Could be Ubisoft's garbage servers... I just don't know. What would you do if download speed wasn't up to par?

 

Yeah just downloaded a couple things and it's working fine. Reset my Xbox and internet. It's weird because this never happened before this week

 

Thanks for checking. There's some of us that are having similar issues that started up of the past few weeks or so but its affecting download speed yet speed tests show correctly.

 

If possible , test on a different network , if you can make a WiFi hotspot with your phone you can test it that way .
