Connection Issues

My son has been trying to play one of his games and can't log in. Every time he trys to play, it starts to log in but, ends up going to the screen saying that he needs to purchase a subscription (his subscription is active, came out of my account a few
days ago). He can't log into anything on his Xbox that requires Xbox Live. I've seen on several different sites, that people have been having this issue for several days but, there is on your site saying there is an issue except for a game. So, when are y'all
going to look into this matter and fix it? Some people haven't been able to use your services for 4-5 days. Are y'all going to refund us (or give us free time) being we have paid for a service and can't use it?

Update!

With the ethernet cable plugged I experienced no disconnections. I think that the problem is with my flatemates xbox as i've used the wifi adapter at home on my own xbox without problems. I Think i'll just buy a 15m ethernet cable, dont think they are too
expensive.

Should I connect that through the router or to the modem directly?

It's most likely caused by that moderate NAT you say is showing up. You'll need to either port-forward the necessary ports for Xbox LIVE to your Xbox console, or you'll need to put your Xbox in your router's DMZ.
