Connection issues?

I've been playing solidly since launch, but today I either cannot connect to the Destiny servers or when I do, I'm soon disconnected. My router I fine, I can use the net and all.

I'm guessing your playing Advanced Warfare? Sure it doesn't say "Connection to the host has been lost" which means, obviously, that you can no longer connect to the games host? I'm pretty sure the reason it will kick you from games is because you have an overly high ping (in excess of 200ms I think). Try looking for games hosted in your local area, because from the sound of it you and your friend are joining games that are being hosted by players in other states/countries, which will have an impact on your connection and occasionally have you kicked. Happens to me all the time on BF and CSGO

 

How to connect to Xbox Live in X1

There is no button or menu to connect!

The system is not connected, I do a network test and it passes, but still is not connected... I can't do anything with the X1 if it's not connected to live!

Is there a way to manually connect to Xbox live in this console?

 

Also, I have cleared xbox cache...no go.

Same here... something is obviously broken. Getting Cattle error code.

 

Bungie forums are down too...must be a global bungie issue. I reckon the Sony players are also affected then.

I'm having the same problem also but over 20 of my friends are playing the game.

Is everyone receiving the same "error code"? I keep getting the term "Cattle" as my reason for being unable to get into the game. I was playing fine for about 10 minutes and suddenly without warning got kicked out of the game completely. Attempted to reboot
the system, check the internet connections, and still the same error code "cattle" comes up. Must be the entire Bungie company since even their help forum at their website was crashing at the same time as I was attempting to review any guidance or some sort
of assistance. So at least I now know that I'm not the only one in the dark here.

 

There's reports of it being a DDOS attack. Have Bungie heard of solutions such as cloudflare and prolexic? Hello!

 

I think it's a global crash. No one is playing it. Also, unlikely that they would schedule maintenance during the day on a weekend.
