    Connection issues???


    So a friend of mine brought his xbox over for me to check out. it is a regular 360 model. I discovered that the system works fine when its not plugged into the internet. As soon as I try to log into Xbox live it gets stuck on the load screen. So I swapped
    my hard drive with his. Connected everything and the system worked fine. No connection issues. I then hooked up my friends hard drive to my system and the same problem occurred. Stuck on the load screen. To me this says it is a problem with the hard drive
    itself. Now as far as MS tech support goes, their "Buy a new one" doesnt answer my "WTF is wrong with this piece of ****", question. Has anyone had a similar problem? Does anyone know what the cause is? Is there anything I can do?

    I'm guessing your playing Advanced Warfare? Sure it doesn't say "Connection to the host has been lost" which means, obviously, that you can no longer connect to the games host? I'm pretty sure the reason it will kick you from games is because you have an overly high ping (in excess of 200ms I think). Try looking for games hosted in your local area, because from the sound of it you and your friend are joining games that are being hosted by players in other states/countries, which will have an impact on your connection and occasionally have you kicked. Happens to me all the time on BF and CSGO

    How to connect to Xbox Live in X1

    There is no button or menu to connect!

    The system is not connected, I do a network test and it passes, but still is not connected... I can't do anything with the X1 if it's not connected to live!

    Is there a way to manually connect to Xbox live in this console?

    Update!

    With the ethernet cable plugged I experienced no disconnections. I think that the problem is with my flatemates xbox as i've used the wifi adapter at home on my own xbox without problems. I Think i'll just buy a 15m ethernet cable, dont think they are too
    expensive.

    It's most likely caused by that moderate NAT you say is showing up. You'll need to either port-forward the necessary ports for Xbox LIVE to your Xbox console, or you'll need to put your Xbox in your router's DMZ.
