Connection issues with Xbox 360/Xbox Live and Xfinity/Comcast. Tried all suggestions on the ...

I am having connection issues with Xbox 360/Xbox Live and Xfinity/Comcast. I tried all the port configuration settings on my system and have all ports forwarded/open. Was still getting dropped at random times from 30 seconds to 15 minutes into an online
gaming session. Right now I'm playing Destiny, but I believe from what I've read that this happens across all online games on Xbox Live. Now I have a hardline Ethernet connection to my system and am STILL getting dropped in the exact same way with a hardline
connection. This proves its not the network, but some incompatibility with Comcast and Xbox. please help! This is super frustrating. About to give up. Anyone else have Comcast and was able to fix the dropping issues? My wireless network connection was
SOLID until the latest router update was pushed out yesterday by Comcast. What do I do? Now even with an ethernet connection, I am getting dropped for Xbox live during game play.

I have opened all ports for xbox on my router, and forwarded em to my laptop, i do not have wireless access to my xbox, but i connect it to xbox live with my laptop via ethernet cable. I also opened all ports for xbox live on my firewall. Xbox connection
says my nat settings are still strict and i can do everything but connect with one friend.

 

2 Consoles Sharing The Same Ports. NAT Problem

I own a Ps4 which I have port forwarded on my bridged Asus RTN56U router. I recently bought an Xbox One but am struggling to understand how I establish open NAT when the required ports are already being forwarded to another console. I read that a good solution
would be to keep the PS4 port forwarding and then put the Xbox in the DMZ but that configuration is still giving me strict NAT on the Xbox.

Does anyone have any other suggestions that I could try? Both consoles are connected to my router by ethernet cable and get good connection but it's just the strict NAT on Xbox that troubles me.

Yes I am using the Technicolor TC8305C. It is a single device. It was fine until yesterday. I am guessing that there was a firmware/software update pushed out and ever since then, because the modem shut itself off and rebooted and then it started booting
me every few minutes. They can't restore it to the previous state, so what do I do?

 

This disconnecting keeps happening to me too. I have the same modem, and it was great until a few weeks ago. All this random disconnecting, and my internet doesn't drop. Just my connection to Xbox Live is disconnected. It doesn't make sense.

 

Exact same issue. Only thing affected is Xbox Live connection. My daughter can stream Netflix the whole day with no interruptions. I even have it connected via ethernet cable ad it still drops, so I know its not a wireless setting. I have all the ports
forwarded anyways.

 

I'm having the same exact problem as you guys. I cleared my cache and redownloaded my profile, but I'm still getting randomly disconnected from Xbox Live when I join an online game.

I also have Xfinity/Comcast. And all the ports are open on my router. If I watch Netflix, I never get disconnect from XBL. But when I join an online game, I eventually get disconnected from XBL. Pretty frustrating.

 

I'm also having the exact same problems. It all started for me on 11/21/2014. All the apps on XBL are still working but none of the multi player games are. I have Xfinity also with the Technicolor TC8305C. Really wish someone could find out what's going
on and give us a fix.

 

Obvious solution is buy a PS4

 

I as well have a TC8305C from comcast. I have no issues whatsoever staying connected to Xbox LIVE until I play Destiny. I lost contact with their servers and frequently get kicked offline altogether. Every other service and device works just fine. Also
I've tried all day to forward ports and have done everything exactly as described in all the networking guides, static IPs, all that. About to just factory default everything because now I have a STRICT NAT and.... ugh, it's just aweful, all I wanna do is
play my game! -_-'

 

Just fixed the problem. There were corrupted files in my avatar. They are World of Tank avatar items. I deleted them and now CoD Advanced Warfare works fine. Can't say the same about WoT though. Whenever I go back into WoT, the game adds the avatar items
back and causes much frustration.

Check for corrupted data

After you have cleared your system cache, you should also check your system for corrupted data.

Press the Guide button on your controller

Select Settings

Select System Settings

Select Storage.

Select your storage device (your Hard Drive or Memory Unit).

Select the folder Games and Apps.

You will have to look through each folder to check for corrupted data.

Note Corrupted files are displayed with a yellow exclamation point (!).

Select any corrupted data files you find and select Delete.

 

Yeah that's not the same issue. I don't even have that game. This issue is very specific to the Comcast/Xfinity router Model [tag:TC8305C] and Xbox Live. There is no known fix except to get another router at this time. I have read hundreds of posts
that state te same problem and there is not ONE answer offered up but the standard "make sure you ports are forwarded...blah blah blah..." I have a hardline connection and it still happens so I know that's it not a network configuration. That's a bs default
response. Please if anyone has any new info please share.

 

I found a work around for the time being that seems pretty stable. I put the Technicolor TC8305C router in full "Bridge" mode and then used another router. This one is a Cisco/Linksys I have it hard lined still and have not been dropped for an hour. This
is looking more like a firmware issue with the TC8305C because everyone experiencing this issue reported that their systems were rock solid until "one day..." that being when Comcast pushed out a faulty, poorly tested firmware update that affects a large number
of the Xbox 360 users.

 

Im having this problem at the moment.. Is there any other way we can play without getting disconnected without another router..
