    Connection issues with the technicolor tc8305c modem


    I can not stay connected to online MP games. I will always get disconnected after about 10mins. Does anyone know when this situation with this certain modem will get fixed?

    I get kicked out of every XBOX live game I play, and can't join or play parties.

    Currently there are known issues with the Technicolor TC8305C's firmware that causes these type of issues. Refer to our Technicolor
    TC8305C Known Issues post for more details on the issue.

    It is best to contact your ISP for replacement hardware, or to have them set up your Technicolor TC8305C in bridge mode and add a router to your set up.

    Can connect to internet, but not XBOX Live, using wireless or wired. Comcast Xfinity service

    There is known problem with the Technicolor TC8305C and the latest version of firmware for this device, which were pushed out 10-22-2014. There's no estimation on when to expect an update to fix the problem with the current version of firmware.

    The Technicolor TC8305C has always been notorious when it comes to connectivity with Xbox Live.

    If you have an additional router, set your Technicolor TC8305C to be operating in bridge mode. In this mode, the TC8305C will only function as a standard modem, while an additional router can function as the NAT device.

    If you need help with bridge mode, consult your ISP, and they can help you configure this mode.

    Why hasn't anyone from Xbox support commented on this problem yet? Is this being worked on? Do they even know what's going on? It's getting a little bit ridiculous now.

  5. This is a widely know issue with this modem. Unfortunately it is a technical limitation of the hardware itself, and Microsoft cannot do anything about it. Please contact the manufacturer about the issue to see if there is any sort of timeline for a fix.
    You can also request a new XB3 Wireless Gateway from Comcast that is the updated version of your current device that does NOT have this problem.

    taidara.... THANK YOU! This was the issue. I replaced mine yesterday with a new Arias and I am no longer getting booted, constantly, from xbox live. THANK YOU THANK YOU!

    Can't Connect To Network

    There is a known issue with the modem Technicolor TC8305C, generally this is caused by the connecting cable. You should contact Comcast support and report this issue.
