Connection Issues with 7 Days to Die Disk and Digital Copy....

Hey all,

As a matter of interest, is anyone else having issues playing multiplayer with others online on 7 Days to Die? I've this morning purchased the digital copy, due to my friends all working on their copies with no issues, they can join games and join each other's
too. I can't join anything, I've had the disk copy for over a year with no issues until now, to which I've purchased the digital to see if this was an issue with my disk or something further, to my disarray its still not working, and it's kind of ridiculous,
this needs to either be pulled from the store until its fixed or pushed to be fixed, as people are paying for a product not even offering half of the quality it should be for a £30 product. I love Telltale and this game as a product but it's kind of frustrating
when you get no support for it either, any support would be much appreciated!

Xbox One disc drive still necessary thanks to ‘bandwidth and game size’

i think the disk drive is a staple for quite a few years to come.. until they max out the size the disks can hold.. be it movies,games ect ect.

i just cant see an all digital non disk unit yet... to many variables and possibly to easy to loose all the titles you have linked to an account. the fear with all digital is you have 25g invested in movies,music,games,apps,ect ect... and a company goes under holding the serves and everything you have linked is gone. that will always be the underlining issue.

this is the same issue or gripe i have with streaming movies/tv... netflix,amazon,hulu,redbox ect ect..

we gain/loose titles almost quarterly.. u almost need 4 streaming apps to get a stable library.. i would much rather a 3rd part app that takes your available stream and puts them in a library. heck i am even ok with the ability to stream "new" titles or "rent" them for 1.99 or whatever like redbox does with the kiosk.


but on the bandwith stuff... allot of us take it for granted that we have dsl/t1/google connections. we are still a minority in the united states let alone the world. till a quick connection is readily avalaible a disk is almost a necessity. look at the articles of foreign countries taking 7 days to download xbox one games. without disks the xb1 becomes a very frustrating system. but on a side not this is where drm comes in.. you could have disk and have digital... but its something the united states consumer was not ready for.

 

Xbox Team, I have come with a solution!

Now, with the whole controversy of DRM and gamers wanting both to have their disk and some wanting the digital with DRM there is a solution. Make it so disks van be used offline, but with a twist. The ability to register your copy to link to your account.
This will need to be done with an online connection. The only way to transfer the copy is to have the console online to sell the copy to an online hub. This will not require a connection check because disks can only be registered online. This will also render
the disk unusable like before. Basically, use the disk to verify that the game on the console is the same as on the disk. Like before stated to make it so that you will have no piracy on this copy, the only way to install on hard drive will be to register
the game online, using the disk to verify when offline. This will allow the previous features to be renewed and everyone wins.

 

Is this issue only occurring with 7 Days to Die? Are there other games that this type of issue occurs in? If it's just this specific game, you may want to check in with the developer to see if there's anything they might suggest.
