  1. connection issues that seem to be inherent to the machine

I got an Xbox One at Christmas and signed up for live and constantly get cut off around every 30 to 40 seconds. I went through the network tried with ports forwarded, same problem, uPnP, same problem, both, same problem. Then I noticed that the longer
the Xbox was on the less frequent I was getting cut off until after a few hours the problem would go away all together. When I realised this I determined the Xbox was faulty and took it back and received another but get exactly the same problem. I have a 360
also which is just running through uPnP and get no connection issues at all. All my devices other than the pads I assign static IPs and reserve the IP in the router also so no device can interfere with another. The only reason I can think of is its the Xbox
Ones themselves have an inherent connection problem. If someone else has this problem and has managed to fix it can they please say how because I've run out of options and hate having to wait up to 2 hours for the connection to stabilise to play online. I've
worked with networks for many years and can't find anything wrong and the multitude of devices, laptops, PCs, pads and other consoles have no connection issues. The chances of getting 2 Xboxes faulty have to be slim so it's either something I'm missing or
it's a faulty batch which if so Microsoft would know about it, I worked in M.E.D. For the Littlewoods organisation for a number of years and when we hit a faulty batch they would send the whole lot back or techs would come from the issuing company to go through
them all. Any help with this. Thx

    :)

SnD SHOULD be a good gametype (like its variants in other games are) but the inherent slot-machine nature of CoD means that you're more likely to die from BS and lose your one life than you are to be killed by actual skill.

This is it! LIVE keeps disconnecting!

sure thing. I was just venting to be honest. My rant was purely because even in the threads that support ask us to create, nobody seems to have actually had the problem solved/reason diagnosed.

Thanks for the reply tho. I have managed to watch Sky without any issues for the last 70mins or so, but when the machine is on the dashboard the connection is unstable at best. Weird eh?

Can you provide a little more information, is your xbox one connected wirelessly or is it hard wired.

What modem, and router model are you using. and who is your internet provider, and rated speed?

People seem to be having some issues with wireless, can you try hard wiring it and see if that helps?

This could be caused by several issues, including something interferring with your wireless signal. I know it makes no sense, but some devices will have an issue with interferrence when others do not.

  5. I'm using Virgin Super Hub 2, 60Mb wireless. I would have tried hard wiring but I don't have a cable that length. Interference wouldn't subside gradually it would either be there or not. This is really bad whenever I turn the Xbox on like every half minute.
Not so bad on single player games because it just sends a pop up and it's usually reconnected before I can press ok so sometimes the pop up can appear telling me I've been cut off but if I press the Xbox button on the pad I will be connected. This also never
happens on apps like Amazon Prime so I can stream without any problems but when it comes to online play it just makes it impossible. I have Destiny and Titan Fall but can't play these games unless I leave the Xbox on for at least 2 hours. I've work in computer
repair for many years and the only time I've seen this kind of problem is with expansion/contraction problems were a certain amount of heat as to be generated before dry solder fully connects but the exact same problem occurring on 2 machines made me doubt
that unless it was a bad batch. The Xbox One sits right next to my 360 and I have no problems at all with connection on that machine it's one of them problems that's seems to defy all logic. If it's a faulty wireless adapter I suppose an hard wire will tell
me that. Do Microsoft have people who come on these forums or is it just other xbox owners because they would be in a better position to know if this is an hardware problem because the batch would have eventually been returned. These are very brief disconnections
that slowly become less frequent till they stop.

Are you directly connecting the soundbar to the Xbox or are you connecting through your TV? It's better to connect to the Xbox and use another HDMI to connect to the TV. Have you changed any sync settings? Alternately, and in general, this problem is an
HDMI-ARC/CEC issue so it may be an inherent problem with the connection, rather than anything else, in which case there's no fix.

Do you think Killer Instinct will come to Xbox Live Arcade?

Well that's true. Most fighting games are inherently similar. I do miss those days in the arcade in front of the KI machine though. People gathered around because anybody could be good with Orchid but to see someone performing multiple combos with some of
the others like Fulgore or Jago was fun to watch.
