Connection Issues - Out Of Ideas

Hello,

For a while now I've had issues with Xbox Live. Sometimes my party chat will disconnect me and only me, it kicks me out of games but again leaves the rest of my friends, and when I try to invite people to my games it just says "We were unable to send the invite"
and I can't accept my friends invites either but they can all join eachother fine. I'm also experiencing a lot of lag/rubber banding in games I play, but again none of my friends are.

Here is what I've tried so far.

Reset router to factory settings (Virgin Superhub 2)

Reset Xbox One to factory settings

Wired/Wireless 2G/Wireless 5G

Tried different ethernet cables

Set Xbox One to static IP in router settings

Forwarded all ports for Xbox and game I'm playing

Added console IP address into router DMZ

UPNP enabled/disabled

Here are the connection results I from the test I just ran - this is wired currently (NAT is Open)

Download Speed - 30.44Mbps

Upload Speed - 5.44Mbps

Packet Loss - 0%

MTU - 1480

Latency - 189ms

I never have any issues on my PC gaming, just through the Xbox one and they are both connected wired. Really close to selling this thing because I have no idea what more I can do to fix this.

Battlefield 4 Connection Problems

Anyone else having issues with BF4 connection today? Any time I join a game, I can play for about 5 minutes and then connection to EA is lost and I get sent back to the main screen. Also have been signed out of XBOX live on a few occasions.

Nothing has changed with my system/connection since I played last (yesterday), so I doubt it is on my end. Any ideas/thoughts out there?

 

Keep getting disconnected from xbox live

Had xbox one for over two year's, no previous history of connection issues until this week. Subscribed to xbox live gold on the 3rd of Jan, no problems initially until Monday when it now keeps kicking me off on line saying "disconnected from xbox live,
please try again later"

Checked Internet connection and speed etc. No issues

Any ideas?

 

Not sure if this will help but worth a try.

1. Enter the Super Hub settings page address into your browser
http://192.168.0.1

2. Access the page by entering the default password changeme and usernameadmin. If you’ve changed the default security details to your own password and username, please enter those details.

3. Click Advanced Settings. If you get a warning message, click Yes to continue.

4. In the Security section, click Firewall.

5. Tick the IP Sec Pass-Through box.

6. Click Apply. When the confirmation box appears, click Yes.

7. Click Sign out in the top right of the page.

 

Thanks for the response, however the IP Sec Pass-Through is already enabled

 

Superhubs and Xbox one don't play well together.....ditch it and get your own modem and a cheap netgear router and never look back....

 

Yeah but why? There must be a reason and some way to resolve it

 

DavidP1805, MineDaddy is correct some routers/gateways don't handle the more complex traffic well if at all. Typically a plain modem with a decent router (Netgear is one) will resolve most of these types off issue. The SuperHub is known to be one of those
devices that is problematic when working with the Xbox One. I personally use a Netgear Nighthawk.

 

Thanks for the help everyone, I've purchased an Asus router. I didn't go with the nighthawk becsuse it was a bit too much, I've went for this instead.

That is for some reason going to the wrong place, I got the rs6250

 

That Netgear should work for you. Be sure to do the firmware upgrade and the UPnP are enabled. Let us know how it goes.

 

The specs on the NETGEAR R6250 looks awesome, and foremost, a huge improvement in comparison to the SuperHub 2 (Netgear VMDG 480).

Do keep in mind that when you connect an additional router to your existing gateway (superhub), you can no longer use the SuperHub as your gateway. Either you would have to configure your SuperHub as a plain modem (bridge mode), or have your ISP deploy you
with a plain modem. The latter one is more preferable.

Keep this thread going until we know you are up and running.

 

I'm both pleased and sad to say this has fixed my problem it seems. Played a few games today and no lag or disconnecting or any issues really. It does kind of suck that the supplied hub is complete trash AND that virgin refused to send me a superhub 3.0
when I said it was definitely their router after trying everything else.

At the same time I'm pleased the issues is resolved, thanks for all the help. I am honestly so relieved to have this issue resolved after so long haha thanks again!

 

Be glad they didn't send you a superhub 3. You will be much better off with the Netgear router.

 

The SH3 has also been proven to not work seamlessly with Xbox One traffic.

You've made the right decision, to go with your current setup.
