    So, I’ve been having an issues with my connection for about 6 months now and it’s to the point where it’s driving me insane.

    I often get randomlly disconnected from Xbox Live while I play multiplayer games online, but there a few interesting things about my issue.

    1. My NAT does not seem to be the issue - its on Moderate.

    2. I’ve called my internet provider about 10 times and they’ve tried everything. They’ve set up a seperate 5G network, looked at my diagnostic numbers, and reset my network. They say everything is normal on their end.

    3. This problem only happens when im in-game. Not when im just talking in the party or in a game lobby.

    4. I’ve tried Ethernet & Wifi, they both are equally useless.

    5. I only get knocked offline for about 5-8 seconds.

    6. Ive used my xbox in different locations, and it only seems like I have the issue here at home.

    Is there any support I can receive from anyone? Pretty desperate at this point and it seems impossible to get a customer service representstive over the phone. Thanks in advance.

    1) you want an OPEN NAT Type

    2) I doubt the internet provider will be able to even know if your SPECIFIC location is having issues or not, especially if you're using SPECTRUM.

    3) You also want the Xbox Live Services page to be your best friend- trust me on that

    4) I was kicked offline for a whole hour, all I did was restart my router and that fixed it... maybe try that?

    not to mention, restarting the router is also healthy for it and protects against cyber attacks in your own home... #uselessfacts. Am I right?

    Let me know if that works though, in all seriousness!

    It is possible that your moderate NAT is causing some issues. Depending on the game you're playing you might be disconnected depending on who/where your game is attempting to connect to.

    "With a MODERATE NAT type, you're able to play multiplayer games with some people; however, you might not be able to play with others, and normally you won't be chosen as the host of a match."

    Hi, clearing the system cache should stop the constant update request, you may need to update your other games the first time you play those though. The console has a limited cache for game updates and once that's full you will be asked to update every time
    you play the game.

    You may want to try restoring the network settings on your console to help with the download problem, go to settings, system, network settings, select the wired or wireless connection depending on what you use, configure network, additional settings, restore
    to factory defaults. Power the console off and back on and set up the wireless connection again if you use wireless, see if that helps at all.

    I apologize for any inconvenience. I understand you are having trouble playing your game online.

    We will need some more information to help locate the exact issue:-

    Prior to this issue beginning, were you able to play online? And was there any change to your online setup? That may shed some light on what is causing this difficulty.

    I would also request you to refresh your online connectivity through Xbox Live. The first thing you can do is to powercycle your modem. This is done by unplugging your modem from the power supply and letting it rest for about 10 to 15 minutes and then plugging
    it back in. During this time, you can reset your Xbox 360's time and date setting to the 11/15/2005 by following the below given steps.

    • Press the Xbox Guide button on the controller to enter the Dashboard.

    • Sign out of Xbox Live by pressing the X button.

    • Select the System blade.

    • Select Console Settings and press the A button.

    • Select Clock and press the A button.

    • Change the date to 11/15/2005 and press the A button to accept.

    Combined, these steps may be able to refresh your console's connection to Xbox Live and resolve most, if not all of your connectivity issues.

    Another thing you can do is to check the ports for Xbox Live. Connection issues typically are caused by one or more ports being blocked by a firewall, router, or even your Internet Service Provider to help maintain security. These ports are the doorways
    used to send and receive information between your computer and the server. First, try to bypass your router (if you have one) and see if the game can connect. If it does, then it means that the router itself may be blocking the needed ports for the game. If
    you are still unable to connect, the ports may be blocked directly by your Internet Service Provider.

    The ports for Xbox Live are below. You may have to configure your router/firewall to have the game's ports open in order to connect to the servers properly. If you do not know how to configure your router, you can contact the manufacturer of the router for
    proper instructions. If you need to contact your ISP regarding these ports, make sure that they are open for both incoming and outgoing directions:

    UDP Ports: 88 & 3074

    TCP Port: 3074
