    Connection issue while using Netflix!


    I recently purchased a XBOX one and im having trouble watching Netflix and twitch.

    I saw that my NAT Type when first connecting to my internet was STRICT so i did the necessary port forwarding and was able to change it to OPEN. Playing Live on Destiny and Joining Parties are now fixed. I also have no connection issues while playing Destiny.


    BUT, when I play Netflix after about 5 minutes into watching a show it will start to buffer and get to 25% and stop. hitting the home button I see that I am disconnected from live. I have to check my connection and sign in and out and it reconnects. After
    starting the show again it quits again after 5 minutes, buffers to 25% and then I see on the home screen im signed out again. This only happens on Netflix. I even tried Amazon Prime and it seemed to work just fine.

    The modem/ Router i am using is a ActionTec C1000A. my speed is 12mbps/1mbps. which should be enough speed.

    Keep losing Internet connection.

    Hey guys I have an issue atm were I keep losing Internet connection randomly while using Netflix, xbox video, Titanfall.

    It happens while playing via wifi and hardline

    my ISP is AT&T dsl extreme 6.0

    gateway is a netgear 7550.

    i can really use any and all help! Thanks a bunch

    Netflix = Disconnections from Xbox Live

    I can use the Xbox for gaming, watching Crackle, Zune, listening to music, etc. Works great.

    As soon as I try to use Netflix, I start to have issues. First, it prompts me to switch profiles or Upgrade to Gold (even though I already have a Gold membership). I switch profiles to the SAME DAMN PROFILE I'M ALREADY LOGGED INTO, and it connects.

    I can then browse movies for a while before then being disconnected from Xbox Live (content stops loading, I close Netflix and receive a message that I was disconnected from Xbox Live). This will happen while browsing or streaming, but ONLY AN ISSUE WITH
    NETFLIX.

    I can test the connection and have to disconnect and reconnect, then it works again unless I go to Netflix.

    So, what is the fix? Yes, I've removed Netflix and re-downloaded. I know the connection is fine because it is connected just fine except when using Netflix. I can also use PC's on the network for Netflix without issue.

    The issue is simply Netflix and Xbox....which is the only method I want to use for Netflix.

    Sorry to hear it. Are you connected via wireless or ethernet? If wireless, can you try ethernet?

    Also, could you try power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down then unplug everything from it and let it sit for 5 minutes. During this time try power cycling the modem/router as well.

    XBL disconnects while streaming Netflix/Hulu Plus

    its not your equipment or internet connection, i have been having this same issue for a while and its strictly something to do with xbl and streaming videos on netflix in my case or apparently hulu also. this issue has been going on the last two updates
    of netflix they have released. it never use to. MS xbl needs to get off their a..es and fix the friggin problem on their end.

    Also worth noting is that my actual data usage on these devices is minimal. I'm working, sending emails, etc. Too many connections, if that matters, could be a possible issue. But I'm not streaming netflix on my ipad while I use the Xbox, for example.

    Your network may not be strong enough to support netflix and MP gaming. Make sure to contact your ISP to see what Upload/Download speeds you are getting and what they currently offer in your are.



    Also be sure to run a http://speedtest.net/. Do a test playing say a game of COD while watching a video on netflix. Be sure to also run a test while only using netflix/xbox.

    No Center Channel in some games?

    I just noticed the same issue while using Netflix. The games I have played so far have center channel, but have noticed no center channel on Netflix and NFL so far. Sounds like there are more out there though with issues.
