Connection interrupted once my second console connects to the internet.

Hi everyone,

I'm having some issues with the two consoles on my network.

Both consoles are connected to the same router (Netgear WNDR3700v5). One of the two has a static IP and is using port forwarding, the other one is using UPnP.

Console 1 has a moderate NAT type in-game and a open NAT in the connection test on the Xbox itself.

Console 2 has a open NAT type in-game and a moderate NAT in the connection test.

The biggest problem is that when we are both playing, and the game comes near the end of the match, we get a message saying Connection Interrupted and we get disconnected.

The game we're playing is Black Ops 3.

If anyone has any idea how to fix this issue, please let me know.

Xbox one disconnecting randomly for no reason

Recently my xbox one has been disconnecting from live. When this happens, it instantly connects back, almost as if the connection gets interrupted for a split second. I've tried resetting my internet, but ive been getting pretty consistent speeds so I doubt
my internet is causing this. Could this be due to the console itself? Or due to the recent problems XBL has been having (even though this hasnt happened to any of my friends)

 

Buying an Xbox One, No internet. Can I still play games offline?

I'm thinking of buying an Xbox one next month but first I need to know some things...

I know once you take the console straight out the box and connect it, you'll need internet connection to do the initial set up. But after that, can I play games offline without ever connecting to the internet? I've heard that once you put a new disk game into the console, you'll need to install the game first. Would I be able to install the games offline? Or would they need an internet connection to install the new games? Also, I've read that you don't need to connect the console to the internet every 24 hours to play games but at the same time I've read that you do need to connect it every 24 hours to play so I'm completely confused with the mixed answers.
Hopefully anyone can answer all my questions, it'll be really useful.

 

Are your consoles wired or wireless?

First make sure your router is running the latest firmware upgrade. Personally, I would use a reserved/static IP address on both consoles and also use UPnP for both consoles and let the router handle the traffic. Have you tried that approach and if so
what were the results?

Both consoles are wired. I've not tried that yet. I will give you the results in a second.

 

I didn't even reserve any ips for my xboxs with my netgear....UPNP handles it without issue.....I would reset the router to factory defaults and start over and see how it comes out ...also , you did not mention what modem you are using ...get the model number
on that if you can...

 

Update: This unfortunately did not work.

I don't think a factory reset probably won't solve the issue.This will also take some time as I will have to put back all the correct setting.

I think that this might be a game related issue. It's only happening on Black Ops 3.

As for the modem information, it's a Cisco EPC3928AD EuroDocsis 3.0 2-PORT Voice Gateway.

 

If the Cisco is not in "bridge" then that is your problem....you are using 2 routers....the netgear with a MODEM only , no gateway, would not require any settings other than the factory defaults ....mine worked right out of the box ....

The router is working as a router and the modem is working as a modem. It is correct that the modem is a two in one. The router options are turned off in the modem.

This setup worked for months but it suddenly stopped working for no reason.
