    Please can anyone help. I have a new Xbox One S and I tried to connect to it but have not succeed. There must be a setting somewhere that I have missed, any advice please.

    Connection problem - HELP

    Hey guys,
    So it's been about a year since I bought my Xbox 360 (newer generation), and my Xbox Live connection works 2 days out of 3. I use wireless connection. My Xbox is pretty far from my router, but when I connect to a network, my router shows up and there are usually around 4 bars. When I click on "test connection", this is where it tells me that the console is unable to connect.
    Did anyone had this problem before?

    Xbox connection issues HELP!!!

    Are you sharing internet connection? Because this "both have open NAT types" sounds like you are sharing internet.

    Hey WearyLobster791 -

    Sorry to hear about the issue! What have you tried connecting your Xbox One S to - your home network? Are you trying to connect via Wi-Fi or Ethernet? What steps have you tried already so we know where to start? You can check out the

    Connection help

    Since you've got Halo 4, chuck it in and let it tell you what your NAT type is. If it's Open, you shouldn't have any problems (though you can actually have a few problems). If it's Moderate you can only connect to other Moderate or Open players and Strict
    NAT players can only connect to Open NAT players.

    .

    If your NAT type is Open, tell them to check theirs. If it isn't, look into opening yours, it really does help.

    Have you checked your NAT types? If it is closed that means you won't be able to connect to them.

    Is it comcasts ? is it a modem and router in one (a gateway) ?....1st thing I would try would be to try it hardwired and eliminate if its a wireless problem or not..

    get some model numbers and a brand from the router and we'll find out what it is....
