connection error

I go into xbox settings and it says that I have internet connection but when I try to stream or go into netflix an error message says that I am not connected to the internet can some help before I smash it to pieces

Problems with internet through xbox one

Just rerun the test for network connection on your console so that error message is verified. If it does not connect again, the network connection troubleshooter will fix the problem for you.

 

Xbox Live Connection Error

Maybe a problem with your connection. what is your internet like? you using eathernet or wifi to connect the console?

 

Try to do an power cycle or a soft reset of the console and of your modem router.

Well, dont smash your Xbox, that wont fix anything

I would recommend performing a full reboot on both your xbox as well as modem/router, this should hopefully resolve the issue

Sorry to hear about your disconnects, lets get you back online! If you haven't already run your network test by doing the following:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All Settings.
4. Select Network.
5. Select Network settings. Any known outages will appear in the middle of the screen.
6. On the right side of the Network settings screen, select
   Test network connection.
