    Connection continuously dropping out

    Hi there,

I recently bought an Xbox One S and have been trying to play it online.

I noticed a problem with the connection instantly when downloading and installing games. The speed of the download would vary between around 20MB/s (which is fine for me) and zero MB/s. This fluctuates constantly and is often at zero. This makes playing
games very difficult (e.g. I play FIFA/COD and Rocket League) all of which I cannot play online. I am with Virgin Media with a superhub3. When playing call of duty, I constantly switch from a 3 bar to a 1 bar every few seconds.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

    :)

Your connection speed isn't going to change whether most network issues affect you or not.

    .

Dropping out continuously due to a dodgy router could be his problem, for example, and it doesn't matter what his connection is at that point.

    .

You can't stop yourself from playing with people you don't want to. You could try submit a negative review but that's all you can do.

    .

Also, the map failure may or may not be Host-related, I personally doubt it is. Some minor kind of manipulation, probably.

First off, check your NAT type settings to see if you have an Open, Moderate or strict. (Open is always best). If you’re connecting your Xbox to your router via wireless, try a wired connection. Try restarting both your router and your console. After restarting
your console reconnect it back to the router by reinserting all information required. Doing a restart and reconnection worked for me when I was having connection issues.

I hope this works for you!

Xbox One S Constantly Dropping Connection While Playing Online

Tried wired connection, but at-device speeds were less somehow, and the connection was continuing to drop as it was before.

I reset the Port Forwarding settings on my ISP side, and cleared the Alternate Mac Address settings on the Xbox. That seems to have solved the connection drop issue.

By the way... If It was a true P2P & you were all connecting to my console & sharing my connection..

You would ALL drop out to the main menu, when I drop out or turn my console off etc & not have the server look for a new host & return, to the exact same spot you were, when you were shooting at someone... (ie. The server continues the game, where you left
    off)

    Headphones Continuously Drop Audio

    Hello MatthewKramer1

Looks like you did the troubleshooting steps listed in support. How far are you from the console? Is there anything that could be interfering with the signal from the Xbox to the headset?

The wireless range from the headset to an Xbox console can extend up to 20 feet (6 meters), the Bluetooth range from the headset to a compatible device can extend up to 33 feet (10 meters).

Note The exact range can vary based on factors such as physical interference (walls and furniture) and signal interference (wireless signals from other devices).

Check to see if there are any other wireless devices nearby and disconnect them. *Devices operating on the 2.4 or 5 GHz bands such as speakers and smart home devices* If the interference is clear, connect them back one at a time to isolate the issue. Some examples:

    • Wireless Speakers
    • Smart Thermostats
    • Cordless Phones
It is a good practice to turn off and unplug electronic devices temporarily to see how it affects the wirelesses interference issue.

If you have any other headsets (not the same brand and model) try connecting to the Xbox and see if the same thing happens.

Xbox One and 360 conflict issues

When both consoles are on at same time over the home internet connection one continually drops out. All the forums say that both cannot be on the same internet connection at the same time unless setting changes are made to the modem/router. None work.
Seems strange that 2 products cause conflicts when connected the same, given that on the same network are 4 computers, 4 phones, ipads and tablets operating simultaneously.
