    Connection between Xbox One and Controller/Remotes (bluetooth issue) breaks on a daily basis


    Unlike many of the forums I've come across, I have yet to encounter an issue where my controller disconnects during play or while active. I have been having issue since this fall wherein the controller (or the xbox one media remote) will cease to operate
    the xbox in any capacity after being idle for some time. The xbox is not frozen, as voice commands will still work through the connect, but the controllers (all of them) cease to communicate with the xbox. They cannot be re-synced, removing batters and turning
    the controllers back on does nothing. The only thing that will reset whatever mischief is occurring is to do a hard reset of the xbox itself. While this is band-aid that serves as a work around, it really isn't a good solution as the act of having to completely
    reset the xbox detracts from the always on abilities the device has, disrupts active game play sessions or video viewing that might be paused, and takes a really to long to boot back up.

    Connect xbox elite controller to PC

    The elite controller doesn't have bluetooth so unless you have a MS wireless receiver connected to your PC, no way you are getting a wireless connection between your PC and controller.

    You can use a wired connection or use one of the newer controllers who do have bluetooth.

    Hi Tanalbi,

    Im not sure a Bluetooth remote like this will work on your console as it wont be able to connect to the consoles Bluetooth system, and even with an adapter, there's a chance there will be "input lag" between the controller and console.

    Its best to find another controller that is compatible rather.

    I have the same problem. I think it was caused by a controller update (version from 17.11.2021). I enjoyed the new fast switching feature between Xbox and Bluetooth devices (double click pairing button).

    Switching controller between Xbox/Bluetooth devices - OK

    Xbox connection - OK

    Android mobile connection (bluetooth) - OK

    PC Win10 USB connection - OK

    PC Win10 Bluetooth connection - does not work. the pairing will be fine but controller does not work.

    Xbox One S, 2pcs XboxOne controller, Windows 10 completely updated.

    EDIT:

    resolved issue - update Windows 10 21H2.
