    Ok so the problems I have is when I'm online I get the error code 0x8d40004 basically telling me to insert the disc when it's already in or clean the disc but I've tried with other discs with the same effect when they are all clean and the other problem
    I have is when I'm offline it tells me to connect to xbox live when I try to play any games when I wanna play offline

    To play on xbox live you must have an xbox live gold member ship to do so you can buy them at many different stored or through your credit/debit card. If that is not the issue I would try re-booting your modem and go from there.
