Connecting xbox one to an Older style hdtv

I am needing help connecting my sons xbox one to an older style hdtv. It is saying format not supported. Is there anyway to reformat the tv or the xbox to get it to work. Im a single mom and had to save up just to get the xbox I can't afford getting another
tv. Please help

2007 XBOX360 module

Recently, I just bought a new LED HDTV, but for some reason the supplied HDMI cable doesn't give me audio? Since my module is from 2007, could there be a hardware conflict connecting my HDTV to my XBOX360 2007 module with a older HDMI cable?

Connecting Xbox One to 1080i Component HDTV

Xbox One doesn't even work with 1080i HDMI HDTVs. Microsoft refused to support 1080i for the Xbox One because there is "slight blur" with interlaced resolutions. From what I've read the Xbox One GPU/CPU is capable of scaling to 1080i, so there is hope
that Microsoft will patch in 1080i support if enough people request it.

It should work with 480p though. Have you tried changing the display settings to have the Xbox One output in 480p?

 

What is the make and model of the TV you are trying to use?

 

If the "older style" of HDTV has the Red Green and Blue RCA type of connections that's called Analog HDTV.

The Xbox One uses a digital HDMI connection.

It would not be cost effective to try and get an adapter to try and make something like that work, if that's the type of setup you have.
