Connecting xbox 360 to a hotspot wifi

Hello everyone. I have a issue with connecting my xbox 360 to a wifi network at the place im staying at.

There is a router (Thomson TG784) which is upstairs, that i have access to, and there is also a router downstairs where i live, but i think its just for a signal strength. Anyway, im trying to get xbox 360 to connect to this wifi and i can only get
connected to network, but internet connection fails. That is probably because it set up as a hotspot, when i use my laptop or tablet i have to enter a login and password to use the internet.

My friend has a ps3, and all he does is simply try to connect, and then when ps3 fails to connect to internet he just goes into the browser and enters login and password, works without any problems, but internet explorer wouldnt open without the connection!

I tried different things for a while but nothing seems to work for me, so I decided to post this topic to see if anyone can assist me on this issue. I would be very grateful, because im stuck in this place for another 3 months and it would be nice to at
least spare some time gaming/watching netflix etc.

You could also start a VPN.

Also could use a hotspot service on your laptop. In which, you would connect to a hotel wifi on your laptop, broadcast your wifi signal out using a hotspot app. Then connect your xbox to the said hotspot from your computer. Then you can sustain connection
to Xbox Live.

 

I don't think you can. You could try connecting it, then opening IE to see if you could log in. Alternatively, you could just connect your laptop and connect the 360 to your laptop, and enable Internet Connection Sharing.

 

But I need a ethernet cable for that and I cant get ahold of one

 

Isnt there something I can do in router settings to bypass the hotspot and login? I can get into routers setting no problem, I just dont know what to do in there...
