Connecting to Xbox Live

Hi

i have recently got a preowned xbox 360, I created a profile and signed into Xbox live. Since then I have not been able to access that profile, it signs in and opens the avatar creator, then signs out a few seconds later. I can access my Xbox live account
on my computer and can download updates for games but not log into this specific profile. Also, I can't access any of the apps, i.e. Netflix.

I ran the connection test and this is what came back, using the question on the other thread.

Have you considered setting DMZ on your router? this allows your xbox to recieve all packets being sent to it and sent from it.

Thanks for your reply. I've looked into DMZ but it doesn't seem very safe to put the xbox outside of the firewall. Would this not make it does it vulnerable to being hacked for store account details or other app details?

No it would not, It's different than putting a computer outside the firewalls. It's completely safe to put an Xbox in DMZ.
