    While trying to connect with my Microsoft account on console the following message appears:

    this Microsoft account is associated with a different xbox live profile. try a different account. (but i don;t have additional one..)

    Not sure what you mean by "membership area". There's no special area that gold members have access to.

    Xbox Live Connection Error

    I tried to log in to my Xbox Live profile, and it said I couldn't connect to Xbox Live. Under the message it said the numbers "80151909"

    It's been like this for about a week. Anyone know how to resolve this issue?

    P.S. I've tried connecting to one of my accounts that doesn't have Xbox Live Gold, and that didn't let me log in either.

    Hey there, it sounds like you're trying to create a new gamertag instead of downloading the one already associated with your account, to download your profile, press the Xbox guide button and select the 'download profile' option or follow the steps here:

    If you mean xbox live gold yes....because xbox live is the xbox online service platform and xbox live gold is the subscription, and non gold subscribers are still connected to xbox live always.

    Do Settings | Account | Your Memberships... do you see Xbox Live or Xbox Live Gold? You need Gold to play on line.
