    Connecting to xbox live for first time on Xbox 360


    I have been playing a used xbox 360 console offline for a while. I originally bought this from a friend. Purchased xbox live gold today. I set the MS Gamer account up on my mac. I tried to login on the 360 console, but when I enter email/password, I get
    a message saying this is for a different gamer id. Help

    You might have better luck in 02 - Connecting to Xbox Live on Xbox 360 they deal with First time connecting to Live, connection issues, NAT errors and more.

    ok - found a way to download a new profile and sign in. it seems to be fine. Is there a way to merge that profile with the other one which was already set up on the console?
