Connecting to Xbox Live at university. (Also connect to Chat with Microsoft)

Hi,

Happy new year! I've just come back to university after Christmas break and cannot connect to my uni wifi. I get the message 'Your security protocol will not work', and I get directed to xbox.com/networkhardware, which is absolutely no help whatsoever. My
device was registered to the uni when I arrived and was working fine for the first semester. Can anyone help me or direct me where I can find some help as this is driving me nuts.

On top of that (an unrelated issue to Xbox live) when I try to go on 'Chat with Microsoft' to ask about the problem, I am prompted to enter my first and second name, and my email, before I can start the chat. However, the first and second name fields are blank
and I cannot click them to enter my names, thus not being able to chat to Microsoft. Again, incredibly frustrating and I would welcome any help with this.

You have to bridge your connection through another device.

Maybe they unregistered it , or they reset everything while on break ...your probably at their mercy on this as all you can do is hard reset and try and connect ....link below will let you go through some checks , just pick the one with your error...

The connection test results are indeed after the university opened their ports. I'm not too sure why Xbox Live is still unable to connect.

Yeah it has to be live no doudt, i also cant connect to some freinds in party chat or even private chat really bad. Such a great experiance live is i hope microsoft can see and deal with this

Hmm, OK. When you don't have access to the networking hardware, our options for official support are limited. However, I do know that a lot of universities have guides on connecting to LIVE written by other students, you might want to check around for

You may try this guide to see if it is working:

Unfortunately there is a problem, if you log in to the WiFi with your Mac and then clone is MAC adress to the One. This will give you Internet access, but there are known problems that it does not allow you to play games online this way.

It's there anyway to get a wired connection?
