Connecting to XBL but apparently there's a firewall problem? Teredo IP?

I can connect to XBL, but playing games online, parties and other stuff refuses to work.

In Network Settings, it says all services are available, when I check the multiplayer connection it gives me the "cannot get teredo IP address" message

In, "detailed network statistics" it says under 'detailed NAT information' that my 'connection is behind a firewall (or not connected)'

I've tried nearly everything that I can find but it doesn't seem to work, all of my other devices work correctly

Teredo

This doesn't work either. I have no Antivirus (Windows Defender is enabled), Firewall is configured as shown, these services are configured like shown, but IP-Helper can't start (as mentioned above), time and date is correct, and the firewall rule with
this name is not found.

 

Any hope for those that Can't Get Teredo IP Address?

Do you have a FritzBox router? There's a known issue with those where, if IPv6 support is enabled in the router settings, Teredo is blocked by an invisible firewall.

This support article on AVM's website applies to all FritzBox models (despite the URL mentioning the 7390).

first: Try to upgrade to latest Firmware available for your router - better for all Network devices and then - test again.

You can try to Disable SPI Firewall on the Router - maybe it blocks UDP Port 3544 (used for Teredo).

If not you should ask your ISP if he blocks Port 3544 UDP.

Do you have only this Router or do you have also a Modem where you connect?

 

If you are experiencing this Teredo problem suddenly where everything was working before you have to perform a factory reset.

 

@ Rozilla, it's a gateway attached directly to the line, there's no update that I can find.

I've tried port forwarding, I've tried disabling the firewalls, I've tried to DMZ, I've tried UPnP resets and so far nothing has worked.

@ BobMcFly247, The problem came out of nowhere, it had been working fine for months. Factory reset seems to be the only thing that I haven't tried so far, have you had good results doing this? I've read that some people do this and the problem re-occurs
a few days later. I'd hate to lose data to only be in the same situation a day later.

 

We have had that problem in quite a number of threads here and the factory reset seems the only thing that could fix this, if the teredo problem came out of nowhere.

For your u nderestanding: if you own an external drive all the games on the external drive do not need to be reinstalled. If not having an external drive, you have to reinstall or redownload them of course.

But all your savegames are safe in the cloud and will be resynchronized with your local game as soon as you start the game.

 

Ok same scenario. All was working and now after two days of troubleshooting still nothing. Going to do a factory reset
