  1. Connecting to WiFi blind? No screen.

Heyya, kinda made an error. I brought my Xbox One over to the house I'm staying at, and as they don't have a television I was planning on playing some games by streaming to my laptop. Little did I know, my Xbox One has to be connected to the WiFi in order
to connect to my laptop. But since I've never brought my Xbox One here, I cannot connect. So, is there any way I can connect to the WiFi without a screen? Perhaps some Konami code-like instructions I gotta punch into the controller [press the d-pad left twice
to get to this menu, press the d-pad down three times and hit the A button to select this option, etc]? Or is there some way to connect the HDMI cord and play using my laptop as a monitor instead, or using an Ethernet cable to connect the Xbox One to the WiFi,
    or...?

    :)

    connecting to wifi

    HI all,

Currently I have a problem with my Xbox one console. Since thursday it isn't able to connect to my wifi. All my other devices however can connect with my wifi. The name and password is correct (I checked when I disconnected my phone from wifi and connected
again). I also disconnected the power for a minute and connected it again but to no avail. can someone help me?

    Controlller test....

Are you using WiFi for connecting to Xbox Live..?? WiFi does kick in & test, when on the Splash Screen & it might be waiting after WiFi Checks, until it syncs controllers..

(If it doesn't have an Ethernet Cable Detected etc..)

    Hey there.

So, hopefully you can plug some headphones into your controller, just to hear confirmation of the button presses, though it will be near impossible when using the on-screen keyboard. If at all possible, I would plug your Xbox into their router using Ethernet,
then you should be able to find your console with your laptop and stream. once your streaming, you'll be able to enter the WiFi password and whatnot.

Alternitively, if you have a smart phone, I believe you could set that up as a WiFi hotspot and give it the same SSID and password as your home network and the console should connect to it.

To get to the WiFi settings page, once your console has booted, you need to press L - D,D,D,D,D,D,L,A - D,D,R,A - A

(where dashes are pauses, just to give the console time to load the next bit.

From there though you have to be able to see the list of networks, and assuming you somehow get the right one, you then need to type blindly the password.

If youre planning on streaming the video to your laptop, make sure both the console ans the laptop are on wired connections to minimize lag.

I think you’d need a usb-hdmi converter so you can connect it into your laptop.
