Connecting to an intranet or LAN

i think every time i turn on my xbox one and connect to what i think is xbox live, a worldwide network with millions of users, that i am really connecting to an intranet or local area network. i just think something isn't quite right when there are only
so many players on bf4, including hardly any asian servers, most lobbies i connect to on gtav are empty, some of the players can be picked out by having significant gamertags which make me paranoid. how can i connect to THE xbox live network and not what i
think is an intranet or LAN?

Xbox360 Wireless Adapter ERROR

ok , whenever i plug in my Xbox360 Wireless Adapter , i try and connect to my intranet . But when i do , i enter the password and then i Test My Xbox Connection , i cant seem to pass Xbox360 to Flores ( my intranet network ) i tried unplugging my adapter
.I called my intranet , and they said something on my xbox360 might not be letting me connect to my xbox360 . If you know this problem or have any suggestions please answer .

Theres no womens on the intranet.

 

It might be restricting you due to your Nat type preferably you would like your Nat type open but sometimes it may be moderate or restricted if that's the case you will have a hard time connecting to other players on xboxlive andaybe that's why your noticing
the same Ppl or not alot of Ppl if you goto your settings then network settings it will show your your Nat type under the network your connected to if it is moderate or restricted test your network connection and your multiplayer connection if that dosnt fix
it reset your router and modem and run the test again if it proceeds you will have to contact your router manufacturer or read up on what settings to change your router to to prevent it from happening in the future hope this helps

 

nat type is open always has been that has never changed unless there has been a problem either on my end or microsofts. i remember one instance in the winter of last year, i was playing on one of my regular bf4 servers on the lancang dam map, i think i
could have been followed in by someone known to me - it was just that one time. but then there are other issues such as a very severe lack of any asian servers, or latin american servers, and so on. i can go on by saying i think there could be reverse engineering
going on, and or the use of potentially illegal and certainly bannable xbox one related hardware and software offences to modify the experience of each game and do other things outside of what is intended originally, regardless of whether i am unknowingly
connecting to an intranet or local area network. before i bought an xbox one i was an xbox 360 gamer and i had a copy of bf4 on that platform - i would get such a short list of available servers. my experience online, on different sites, mostly news information
sites, statistics such as shares and likes etc through the social networking is pitiful.

 

so is an xbox representative going to answer my question? it is, whether an xbox one can connect to something like a LAN or intranet? i am a bit suspicious it is doing so unknowingly.

 

i think this customer service is a bit slack! perhaps i will have to take this up with microsoft over the phone and with my internet service provider.
