    Connecting the One to a VGA monitor?


    Is there an adapter that I can buy to connect the One to my VGA monitor? Also, since my monitor doesn't have speakers built in I also need it to have RCA jacks for my headset. Does anyone know where I can find something like this?

    No video through Dell monitor

    @ Kendrn: Yes, I have plugged my monitor back into my PC and I have also tried connecting to the console to it again afterwards, but no luck. Model is Dell E207WFPc.

    @ Charmer: No, I do not own the VGA converter. My monitor only holds one VGA port and one DVI port.

    Connecting my xbox to a computer monitor...

    I am having trouble connecting my xbox to my computer monitor, i have tried connecting it with just the standard xbxo VGA cable and this fitting here-

    51S98sh7Q2L._SL1500_.jpg but it doesn't seem to work. I was just wondering if you need to buy a VGA to D-sub specifically for the xbox 360? Any help would be much

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums.

    It's best to simplify the connections from your Xbox 360 console to your display if possible. If you have The Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable, then these are the steps to connect to your monitor:

    1. Connect the A/V connector on the VGA cable to the A/V port on the console.
    2. Connect the VGA connector on the VGA cable to the VGA port on your HDTV or monitor.
    3. Connect the left and right (white and red) audio connectors on the VGA cable to the audio port on the monitor.
    4. Turn on the monitor and console.

    Make sure you are also connecting the red and white audio connectors to the monitor.

    VGA is an analog connection and the X1 only connects to digital sources, hence the hdmi. I don't believe there is a viable option to connect to a vga monitor but you would be able to connect to a newer monitor that has hdmi in ports.

    If your monitor only has a vga connection then contact your local computer store and ask if they stock an AV to VGA or HDMI to VGA adaptor.

    it depends on the king of monitor you're using.

    For example if your monitor has HDMi, you should buy an HDMi cable, if your monitor is a little older, it could have a VGA connection, there are VGA cables for Xbox360 as well.
