Connecting old hardrive to another console

if its the internal drive from the old xbox it will not work, they are locked to each board, only external drives formatted by the xbox are moveable from one to another, your save should be in the cloud but you will have to download everything again.

the hardrive that comes with the 500 gb xbox 360 is that inside or attachable?

cause i have a external hardrive that holds 30 gb that i connected to my old xbox 360. Can that connect to new xbox 360?

how would you move the 500 gb hardrive to a new console i assume its inside?

It sounds like this could be either a hardrive or connection problem.

You should first make sure your hardrive is all the way on your console, and maybe clean it out if it looks a bit dusty.

You can try a different account, to see if your account is damaged in anyway. Check your hardrive to see if your profile is not corrupted.

But, most likely, your hardrive is damaged.

I ended up just buying another console. Thanks for the help everyone. I think there was a issue with the gpu or maybe the internal hardrive.

i never plugged it into my computer, just into an older console then all these problems started happening.

the hardrive still works because i can use it on my old console just not my slim.
