    Connecting gamer tags


    When I go to the xbox live website and sign in. It is showing my gamer tag as a different one to that which is on the xbox itself. The gamer tag (on the top right of the screen) on the console is showing the wrong email address. If I try to change the
    gamer tag on either the console or the website, it comes up with a massage that this gamer tag is already in use. Please can someone help me with this problem.

    to Change your microsoft account (email used for sign) in the most easy way is via
    https://account.live.com

    - sign in there

    - select "alias" and if requested enter verification

    - add new email and set as Primary

    - if you like you can remove the other email

    It must be connected to the gamer tag. Just tried on a different game tag and operations is working fine.

    sorry but OP said that (ALL)l Profiles and game are gone so it sounds like he has more than one Gamer tag missing... If it was a corrupt Gamer tag the other Gamer tags will show up... so reinstalling the gamer tag will not fix the others.. So It sounds more
    like data from the Hard Dive and the xbox is not communicating right and that is usually for the hard dive not connected all the way...
