    Connecting console to app


    I upgraded from a Xbox One to a Xbox One X and now I’m having trouble connecting my console to the app.

    I wasn’t sure which of the consoles was being identified in the app, so I cleared it. It appears that the only way to add a console from here is by entering the IP? Well I’m looking at it right now but I’m clearly doing something wrong. I’m just getting
    the error message “we could not connect to your console right now. Make sure you have the right time and date, then try again.”

    As far as I know, everything’s up to date. It’s hardwired in though, and my phone is on WiFi. Would that interrupt the connection?

    Xbox 360 Smartglass Failure to Connect

    The app on Play Store is having some major issues with connecting to the console. Has support for the 360 via smartglass ended?

    Windows 10 XBOX App No Longer Streaming Console

    Same information in terms of OS/Console and App versions and connecting to console to stream acts the same way, seems to lock up the app and not allow it to connect to the xbox. Has happened with the 2 previous builds for the Windows Insider Preview build.

    Windows 10 Anniversary update would be the operating system. Would you please post your Windows version for us on this thread?

    Also, third party anti-viruses and firewalls are notorious for blocking access to something like this. Can you test to see if those might be causing the issue?

    I have tried all different combinations of connections. They are currently both hardwired to the same router.

    Sorry about the delayed response. There have been several fixes implemented. Can everyone make sure they're on they've update to Windows 10 Anniversary update? Furthermore, please attempt a factory reset (don't worry, you can keep your games and apps).

    Scantily, The factory reset did not seem to fix my issue, although I did spend another 3 hours downloading all of my games again.. What do you mean by Anniversary update? I have tried both the official app as well as the beta version of the app, but at this
    time, neither of them have updates available. Is this a third app?

    Maka, while I am in the Xbox One Update Preview program, it has occurred both under the preview dashboard as well as full rollouts. I have submitted multiple errors and bugs using the submit feedback page on the dashboard, but this is not specific to update
    previews.
