Connecting/Configuring 4TB external hard drive via USB. Not working! :(

Hi,

We are trying to connected a 4TB Western Digital external hard drive to our xbox 360 to play movies, shows, and music on our television.

Currently, a 1TB Western Digital external hard drive is hooked up - we formatted to fat32 - it works fine and we can play things off of it, the xbox recognizes it as a memory module.

We have formatted the 4tb to fat32/exfat (it is empty right now) and the xbox 360 recognizes it as a no-name usb device - when we try to configure or customize, we simply get an an error message saying this is not possible. We reformatted again with the
same results.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem? Thank you so much for your insight!

External hard drive xbox one

I know I can add a external hard drive to the xbox I'm running low on space there's people on the net saying if u have a external hard drive plugged in you can get a a console ban I was planning to get a 4tb external hard drive plugged in the back via
usb Will I get a console ban for that ?

 

Using External Hard Drive ?

I plan on getting a Xbox One next month and I want to get a external drive to go with it . I plan on getting a 4TB external hard drive that has usb 3.0 . I would like to just buy all my games digitally and store them on the 4TB external hard drive . Will
a 4TB drive work ? Can you play games and apps off of the 4TB drive and will it be as fast as the built in drive ?

The Xbox 360 console only supports up to 32GB of external storage. You can refer to our
