connecting bs issue and nothing works

well this has een a fun freaking day thx to MS and their stupid console ive been trying for 4hours to get this thing to connecting to the xbox live net but it either says everything is a okay but still doesn't do *** or says u have 100% packet lost which
i tried every step of their throuble shooting and nothing work at all, so far for paying for xbox live today that's an other day of trouble with this thing down the draing. and i tried the whole account log in log out thing doesn't work anyway tried deleteing
my account and is the same *** even worse i can't pull it back up now cuz their crappy system gives me an error that it can't do i probably cuz of the stupid packet lost that is unfixable.

Xbox - connecting wirelessly, nothing works

I cant get my Windows 7 Home "Premium" machine (WMC) to connect to my Xbox. 4 checkboxes down, but no luck on the last one, the only one that counts, the one that says "connection successful".

So far I have -

Edited Windows Firewall to allow WMC to connect (yeah, turned off from the factory), turned on the pertinent Windows services (also turned off from the factory), reconfigured my router to allow multicasting, connected directly through the router via ethernet,
tried my **** to get gpedit.msc to work (doesnt come with Windows Home Premium - no clue why) and about 20 other windows.support ideas ... and I am at a complete and total f*cking loss. I am trying to connect two devices via wireless, just like Marconi did
100 years ago, and just cannot get it to work. I cant help but think if I went Apple like my wife wanted this whole process would have taken all of 10 seconds like it was supposed to.

Is there ANY way that I can get this to work, or am I just out the 75 bucks on this antenna and the past couple days of my life?

 

Are you connected wireless or wired? First try a hard reset on your console. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power
cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test for results. Let us know. Good Luck!

 

sounds like a router issues....what is the name and model you are using ?

 

dlink dgs-105 and yes using wired network also did hard reset but nothing has changed as i don't get it cuz i was perfectly fine playing division with a friend yesterday and now all of the sudden i can't

 

The dlink dgs-105 is an unmanaged switch not a router. Have you tried using a different port on the switch or plugging directly into your modem to see if you have better results? You may have a port going bad in that switch.

What type of modem are you using?

 

yup tried all port on it even the one my pc is connected to and got the same on all

 

What is the make and model of the modem being used? Have you tried plugging directly into the modem?

Please tell us what you have tried so we are not constantly suggesting things that you have already tried. It appears that you have a minimal configuration so it should be fairly easy to troubleshoot.

 

work backwards , unhook the switch and plug the xbox into that cable , then unhook the router and hook the xbox to that cable , will have to reboot everything each time....

 

i did try plugging it directly into but it was the same actually if tried about the whole trouble shooting for package los cuz that was what i got or what i kept saying now and then in between that it wasn't my fault that xbox was doing something or so
and that everything was working perfectly.

also tried sign out and in which didn't work either

tried deleting my account to now have the problem that i can't retrieve it cuz of error 0x80a40019 which i tried the power cycle thing that i saw should work but also didn't work

 

list your equipment , it could be that ...

try and make a "hot spot" with your phone and see if it will connect ...

take the xbox to a friend or family members house on a different network to test , if good there , then its your network , if bad there , then the console is the problem...

 

well all that stuff aside i can suddenly get back on so i guess it fixed it self somehow for now i guess
