  1. Connecting audio with S/PDIF

Hi. I've connected my Xbox 360 to my monitor with an HDMI cable. I use a headset with a 3.5mm AUX connection. Is there a way to connect my headset into the Xbox's S/PDIF port? Or is there a better solution?

    Thanks

    :)

Yes, it is true Dolby. This is not ideal, but I run S/PDIF. Plus S/PDIF is the ideal audio cable. Just an idea while we work on fully supported HDMI.

  3. Sudden HDMI Issue with XBOX 360

I suggest you to consult this xbox support link that comes in handy when connecting audio devices:

    support.xbox.com/.../connect-sound-system

As you can see in Xbox 360 S there is the possibility to use the built-in S/PDIF (optical audio) port for the digital audio cable.

Xbox one x s/pdif red light

    Hi

Don't worry about the red light you can see from the S-pdif port on the back of the console this is perfectly normal. The s-pdif port is and optical audio out connector on the back of the console and uses light to send sound from the console when connected
    to a suitable receiver/soundbar.

    Losing OneGuide picture after update

I have almost the same problem. Kinnect doesn't power on. And TV and audio (connected via S/PDIF) doesn't power on and off correctly. Kinnect not work at all.

    HDMI port + AV Port

in the second link, read under first the section titled "Digital audio (S/PDIF or TOSLINK) cable":

    1. Leave the HDMI cable connected to your TV for video.

    2. Connect the HDMI audio adapter to the A/V port on the console.

this infers that you can use the HDMI port for Video and the A/V port for audio... if that is not what it is describing, please clarify.
