  1. Connecting a speaker to Xbox One

    Hi every one!

I have a computer monitor supporting HDMI, but it hasn't got speakers so I can't hear nothing when playing. It hasn't got an audio output neither so, how can I connect my Xbox with my speaker, which only supports 3.5?

    :)

Connecting Xbox One to speaker bar.

I was wondering if there is another way to connect my Xbox One to my speaker bar is via optical? I can't identify any other audio-out port other than optical.

  3. Connecting xbox one to projector and speaker system

We just got the Xbox One but are running into trouble hooking it up to our projector and speaker system. When we had the Xbox 360 we simply connected the yellow A/V video plug to our Epson EX7220 projector, and then attached the white and red A/V audio plugs
to our blue ray/speaker setup. The Xbox One just has the HDMI output cable so there is no easy way to split the audio off so that it doesn't go into the projector (which would be fine but the projector's speakers are shot). How can I get the audio to play
through our blue-ray player while the video still plays through the projector?

  4. Connecting a speaker to Xbox One

Hello I do have a possible solution or two, but it may not be the greatest and it will cost money, unless you already have the associated devices I am suggesting.

Possible Solution #1: If your monitor supports VGA you can use an HDMI to VGA converter that also supports 3.5mm audio like this one

    https://www.radioshack.com/products/radioshack-hdmi-to-vga-converter?variant=20331213189
but the one draw back is there will be a downgrade in picture quality, but in my case in a different situation I feel the color spectrum and quality is actually better,
but it could be I am just used to VGA as I use it with my computer quite a bit.

Possible Solution #2: You can use the digital optical out port on your Xbox One to connect a soundbar or compatible speaker system and bypass the monitor on the audio subject entirely, but the soundbar or speaker system will need to support either Dolby
Digital or DTS Surround Sound. You will know if they do by reading the information on the speaker system as it will say if they do or not. As an example a Vizio soundbar like this one does support it, it does not say so on the description, but I use it and
    it does support them. https://www.walmart.com/ip/VIZIO-29-2ch-Sound-Bar-SB2920-C6/43737417

Unless you decide to use a headset through the controller I don't think there are many other options you can try.

  5. Had this issue myself with my sons Xbox One, what I did was get the head set adapter and then pluf that into some computer speakers, its a dirty fix but works.

Other wise you would need a HDMI auio splitter that will allow you to plug some speaker in that, usually around 30-40 euros.

    Connect Xbox one to speakers

You could get an optic out to a 3.5mm by the looks of it but can see from the spec, but the question would be why? and what are you using the xbox for.

There is no way available to connect external speakers other than through the HDMI port.

    Xbox One with external speakers/headphones

This may or may not be related but I just purchased an Xbox One and connected it via HDMI to the same television that I also use as my computer monitor (also connected via HDMI). The external speakers that are connected via coaxial S/PDIF to the television
will play the audio from my computer but not from the Xbox One. Currently I'm having to switch the audio on my television to the built-in speakers instead of the external whenever I'm on the Xbox One source.
