Connecting 2 xbox one's to 2 different routers on one modem

I have 2 xbox one's and 1 is upstairs 1 is down. The modem is upstairs and the 2 routers connected to that 1 up 1 down. The xboxs both are at strict NAT type and can play online, but they cannot connect to the game/party which is what i need. Please help.

Need help with xbox live

My xbox(s) have been messin up lately, The wireless one used to do this alot but now my hard wired one right to the router doesnt like connecting have the time even tho we have internet going.. i think there is issues with XBL period lately. Best bet man is unplug your router and modem, wait a min then plug just your modem.. let it turn on and go online, then plug in your router. reset ur box and see if it works

You may have to make a configuration change to your firewall or network hardware, such as a router, for your Xbox One console to communicate with Xbox Live. This configuration change is sometimes called "opening ports" or "port forwarding." Port forwarding
for Xbox One is done on your router or other network hardware, not on the Xbox console itself.

Xbox Live requires the following ports to be open:

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port 4500 (UDP)

If you're connected to a network through your workplace or school, ask the network administrator to open these ports.

Try to open them all on all devices routers / modem / extender you have.

or you can try this tool Setup a port forward in your router to allow incoming connections for multiplayer games, VOIP, DVR, and security cameras. hope it helps, take care.

 

May I ask, do you use more than one public IP address? If your gateway only receive one public IP address from your ISP, then I need a bit more information regarding the setup of your networking Equipment.

Modem smcd3gn: This device has to be operating in bridge mode, since an additional router/NAT terminates to this device. In bridge mode, the smcd3gn will operate as a bog standard modem.

Select which one of your two wireless routers that will be the router gateway, for each client computer to connect to. This specific router will perform NAT, DHCP, local DNS server, wireless etc.

The second router, can be configured as an access Point, or a repeater, to extend your existing WLAN.
