Connectin to xbox live

The reason this doesn't work like on a laptop or phone is because the xbox one can not use a browser to accept a cookie and have the MAC address put onto their white list. Schools and hotels usually have this type of security set up where you must go to
a web page before you can go online.

Under such a system there's 2 options:

1. Connect your xbox to a laptop and bridge the connections between WiFi that's connected to your university and your ethernet port that your xbox is connected to:

2. Get the MAC address from your console (settings > network > advanced (at bottom right of that screen)) and contact the network administrators and have them add it manually to their white list to bypass the web page agreement altogether.

I'm not sure if it will work for you or not, but you could try turning the router off for 30 seconds and then turning it back on. this might help connect you to xbox live. I have done this myself when I have trouble connectin

Yea even when testing speeds on speedtest on laptop connectin like 1000 miles away I still get better speeds then my Xbox one
