Connected tointernet but 'Connect to Xbox Live' button not working

Just went on this morning to find my account signed in as usual but wasn't connected to Xbox Live. The button which lets you connect to Xbox Live doesn't do anything. The friends list is different to the website and smartglass, messages appear fine even
though I can't send any. If I want to use Microsoft Edge I have to do it offline. The only tab appearing is Home. I tweeted @xboxsupport a few times but nothing so far. Restart didn't help. My NAT Type is Open and all services are available. I can't send messages
and I don't too play any ganes in case the saves get messed up. What do I do?

There is no button or menu to connect!

The system is not connected, I do a network test and it passes, but still is not connected... I can't do anything with the X1 if it's not connected to live!

Is there a way to manually connect to Xbox live in this console?

Xbox Live is under DDOS attack at the moment. I'm sure MS will have it solved shortly.

Same, I have internet and everything but the connect to Xbox Live button won't work even though when I test connection everything's fine.

Won't save my games, can't check store and can't even log into amazon etc either. Really annoying! How'd you fix it, dude?

Also took me a while to figure out what you meant. Mine automatically signs in so didn't even realise until now. New Xbox layout puts it up in top left now, weird.

 

Sign out, sign back in? What does that have to do with "There are multiple Xbox Live services that are currently unavailable."?
