Connected to Wifi but XB1 thinks it's offline. Can't connect to any Live services.

I've been having the same issue for two days now and would love to be playing The Division. Tried a hard reset of console and modem along with direct connecting. Network settings says i'm connected with a open NAT and everything is good, but the xbox on
the homescreen still says "connect to xbox live".

 

Hey, guys! If you are connected everywhere but on the Home Screen, please sign out of your profile and sign back in. You shouldn't need to power cycle your console. Let us know if that works for you!

 

Yep same issue here, tried all troubleshoot techniques. Everything is not good contrary to what network settings say.

 

Been having this issue for days - been speaking to Xbox support. Nothing they suggest (which is every troubleshoot you can think of) works, well not for me or anybody I know having this problem- before you read the rest, what I can tell you is DO NOT RESTORE
TO FACTORY DEFAULTS or REMOVE YOUR PROFILE. IF YOU HAVE NOT LIVE CONNECTION YOU WILL EFFECTIVELY BRICK YOUR XBOX!!!

I have a temporary workaround for anyone experiencing this issue and hopefully it works for you too. It has worked every time I have tried.

My brother and I started having the exact same issues on our consoles this past weekend and it was just by trial and error/luck that this worked:

Basically when you power on your XB (insant on or normal power up) you wont be connected to live although you are connected to your wifi/network. So in order to engage the live connection again do the following: Disconnect from the current network under
network settings. Setup a new wireless connection, before you do this, if you have a smart phone create a personal hotspot, connect your console to that phone hotspot. Run a network/multiplayer test and even if it says high packet loss/slow connection/slow
upload speed - click the home button, wait for live to connect (it should do) after a couple of seconds. When it is connected again, go back to network settings, disconnect from phone hotspot. Re-connect to wifi. Click xbox home button and you should be connected
to live through your wifi like normal.

It works every time - hopefully it works for everyone until Microsoft fixes this unknown issue or at least acknowledges that there is an issue.

Keeping your Xbox on instant on also helps a bit - every now and then when I turn on my Xbox I have a live connection, but most times it doesnt and I have to run this process just to get it working.

Would like to hear if this works for anyone else?

 

Having the exact same problem!!!! Paying for Xbox Live and can't use it. I spoke with rep today who had no idea what she was doing and long story short it's still not working and I just have a open case number... wtf?.... Microsoft can't even help...now

hi Misses Quinzel - thank you very much - signed out and in again and now works no problem. Would be nice if xbox support were aware of this issue instead of advising people to delete their profiles, making the situation worse

Been having this problem for 3 weeks now, tried everything... And thank god this guy up here ^^^ came around. Even though I tried it before it seems to have worked this time!!

 

Omg quiznel that works! Thank you! Should've tried that the entire time. I guess Xbox had to recognize that the user had signed out and that indication of whether or not you could connect to Xbox Live was removed! Thanks!

 

The same is happening to me, everything works the same as if I was online but I can't access anything online. This is frustrating because I can see my friends online but I can't join them.

 

My Xbox is doing the same thing I have logged in then loge back out power cycled the Xbox disconnected and reconnected my router and nothing vary frustrating
