Connected to wifi but not to xbox live?

I've had this issue for a few days now and it comes and goes, but i've been stuck with this for about a week straight now. I am connected to wifi and when I click test connection,etc it says everything is good and that I am connected to the internet. But
when I go back to the home page it says "connect to xbox live" and clicking on this button does nothing. I can still download games from the store.

hi!

I was trying to install Tekken 6 from a 360 disc since it became compatible something like a week ago, but just says that the game cant be played, as it did with Assassins Creed 2 when nor connected to the internet (in that case it connected and installed
the game just fine)

also none of the apps work as i tried to use youtube and it closed automatically without working

Hey Nephti! If you have the ability to try a wired connection, I would suggest that. If you do not, you may want to look into trying a factory reset on the console. Steps on that can be found

Easiest thing first , sign out of your profile , then right back in.... if its still a no go , remove your profile from the console then re download it...

I tried signing in and out, it connected for about ten minutes and now it won't connect again and i'm back to square one.

ok , try this and see....

go into settings and accounts and remove all the profiles , (make sure you have the email and password to get them back ) after you remove the profiles , shut the xbox down by holding the xbox logo on the console for 8 seconds till it powers down , while
it is off , unplug your modem and router for 30 seconds to clear them also , plug the modem and router back up and when they are online , turn the xbox back on , when it is all the way up , re add your main profile ...it may sit there and sync a little while
but all SHOULD be good afterwards ...

It affects my other xbox one as well. So its not the wifi card. They stay connected to wifi, but not live

Let me guess, you are connected to WiFi.... The problem with wifi is that there will always be an interference with the connection. As a result, you will disconnect from Xbox live. The only way to solve this issue is to use an ethernet cable. This will guarantee
that you will not disconnect from xbox live. I know this for a fact because Everyone who has this issue are those who uses wifi to connect to xbox live. I strongly suggest using a ethernet cable because you will not disconnect. P.S: AVOID NETGEAR!! LoL, Worst

though you may be connect to the WiFi it may not have connect to Xbox live

Same problem here. My new xbox 360s connects to my network via internal wifi but it will not connect to xbox live. Everything else in the house connects fine. My xbox even connects when I plug in the old Adapter( from my last xbox) meaning the issue is with
the internal wifi. This is one reason I bought a new xbox slim(internal wifi) this is BS!
