Connected to the internet but unable to play online games.

This issue has never happened before, I have good internet and it's being weird.

For the past 2 hours, I've been unable to play online games or anything like that. Tried resetting my internet, hard resetting my xbox and everything- still unable to do anything. Say if I wanted to play Destiny 1 (it's on disc) I'm able to play and even watch things on Disney+. However, if I wanted to play a game in which I've bought or have on game pass, like Destiny 2 or Resident Evil 7, it says 'The person who bought this needs to sign in', even though I'm the one who bought them and am signed in on that account. It also says 'connect to the xbox network'. I've tried to set my xbox as 'my home xbox' and it won't even let me click that and whenever it checks it immediately unchecks.

I am having this same problem. I am connected to internet but unable to play call of duty, or any multiplayer game. I am given a message that says "unable to connect to online services"

I had the same problem a few days back and you've already tried the thing that worked for me, resetting your internet.

I think when resetting your broadband equipment it depends on long you leave it unplugged for as it worked for me after I left the broadband equipment unplugged for a few minutes and I didn't have any problems with being asked to sign in for to play a game since.

Hi Mr Darcy, sorry to take so long to respond. I can play Cars 2, locally. I start the game and can play locally, but when I go to "World of Cars online" then press "Connect" it then is "Initializing" . It then finally gives the message "Unable to communicate
with Disney's server. Please check your network connection or try again later". There is no problem with my internet connection as I am able to login to xbox live, download games and play games online.
