Connected to the internet but not?

Hi! So my console says that I’m connected to the internet and all services are available, but when I try to check my NAT or multiplayer connections it says I’m not connected to the internet. I can play my online games and join parties, but experience significant
amounts of lag. (I’m using a wireless connection, I like in a college student housing complex, and it says that Double NAT is detected, whatever that means.) Any help would be appreciated!

Connected to the internet, but no wifi

I don’t remember how long ago, but a few weeks ago my Xbox started having some problems. These problems included the xbox disconnecting from the internet mistake, and the Xbox turning on connected to wifi but not connected to the internet. Every once in
a while, I restarted my Xbox, by holding on the power light, and then waiting till it completely turned off, and then after sometimes it would work. Today, January 2nd, it completely disconnected from all internet. I have also tried restarting my router. I
do not want to factory reset my Xbox only because I have no experience with that. Tomorrow I plan to take it to Best Buy where hopefully those guys can figure it out.

Connected to the internet but not to LIVE?

Well i no longer get the sign in error but it still takes me a little bit to sign in... oh well ill live with it. BTW why are there 2 sections of my xbox 360 wireless controller moving around?

Please be more specific when saying what you have tried.

Just to cover some, have you tried...

1. Enable upnp on the network

2. Using a different ethernet cable

3. if network does not support upnp try opening ports manually ->
support.xbox.com/.../network-ports-used-xbox-live

4. Restore factory defaults to your consoles network settings

If none of these work please give more details and I will try to help you.

Hi there! School connections can be a little tricky, this is what we recommend:

Since this issue is related to the school network, you would have to contact your school's I.T department. There is very little we can diagnose this end. I highly doubt the issue is with your console. Even if you did have to send it for a repair, I can
guarantee you, they will send you your limited edition back.

Oh god no. The government tends to destroy what they regulate. And it wouldn't actually be "free", as someone has to pay for server upkeep, infastructure, etc. "Free" internet for everyone would lead to higher taxation.

Don't believe me? Just wait until the Obamacare taxes kick in for everyone. I already saw my health insurance premiums increase $120 a month thanks to the awesome ACA that would "save middle class families hundreds of dollars a year". You really want
them regulating your internet provider too? Didn't think so.
