Connected to the Internet, but not to Xbox Live

Hello! I am experiencing an issue with my Xbox One's connection to Xbox Live, and I fear I have not seen this issue anywhere else.

The issue I am experiencing is that when my Xbox One boots up, there is only the home screen, with the right side having a "connect to Xbox live" prompt. I press that and I do not get any kind if response. Yet when I test my connection, it states that I
am connected to the internet and mutliplayer gaming should be fine. However, attempting to access any apps will bring up the "for this game, you need to be online" prompt.

Has anyone else experienced this issue before? We recently changed service provider, yet my 360 has no connection issues what so ever.

To solve the issue you are experiencing I suggest you to remove the account from your console and download your account again. Follow the step by step instructions:

a)To remove the account from xbox live console:

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Under "Account," select Remove accounts.

Select the account that you want to remove.

Select Remove to confirm.

When you're finished, select Close.

b)To download your Xbox profile to the Xbox One console:

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

Scroll down, and then select Add & manage.

Select Add new.

Enter the email address for the Microsoft account that's associated with your Xbox profile, and then select Enter.

Enter the password for your Microsoft account, and then select Enter.

Read the Microsoft Service Agreement and Privacy Statement, and then select I Accept.

Follow the steps to configure your Sign-In & Security preferences and download your Xbox profile to your Xbox One console.

 

Usually you can just sign out of your profile then back in....

 

If this does not work I suggest waiting, as I have done this as well as restored my xbox 1 to factory settingsm deleted all my accounts, hard reset and wa son the phone for 3 hrs with customer service/tech at xbox/Microsoft and the only fix I had for 30
min was hot spot my phone in which I was able to download the update to have xbox live back up and working but was not able to load my profile and users back into my xbox. I turned my xbox on this morning and it was all broken again. I have a call back with
the tech team tomorrow and will let people know whats up. They even had me try and load the update into my xbox using a USB which didn't work. They want me to go to a friends house to try their "Internet" to see if that works but my internet has been fine
for a year until Saturday 4/30/16. Tech support kept wanting to blame my internet even though my xbox said "Network connection is good, something went wrong on our side", being XBOX issues. I just hate how tech support tries to prove the customer wrong so
that they do not have to replace or fix the xbox. Im going to wait till Wednesday (tomorrow) and then we shall see what tech support says. If they tell me to Hot spot my phone again I will ask for compensation next time as I should not have to hot spot my
phone everything I want to sign into Xbox Live. If they come out with another update im not sure how I will be able to download it since this has been the issue from the start... Any ideas?

I am having the same problem for 3 weeks even factory reset modem and xbox after xbox was factory reset was fine until it restarted same problem now again so my xbox 360 is working perfect only xbox one affected help plz

So glad I ran across this thread. I was having the same problem and didn't know what to do to fix it. Signing in and out seemed to have worked so that the gods for that otherwise I might have gotten more drastic.

 

Had the same issue. Sign out and sign back into your account. I don't think you have to remove the account even.

 

I am having this same issue and I swear if they can't fix it I'm going to try and get a class action lawsuit. I suffer from PTSD and use XBOX to destress, I am trying to sign in and it's saying that it can't get to my last saved stuff. Basically the same
issues that you guys are having. I'm in the process of moving and trying to destress after getting 4 hours of sleep in 3 days of moving.....(and I"m STILL not done) is a MAJOR PIA!!!!. Tried the stuff that you guys are talking about and it didn't work. Going
to call tomorrow and give them the business verbally. NOT going to be pretty
