Connected to the internet, but not to Xbox Live (Playing at work).

Okay, I work in an admin spot at my job and I bring my Xbox Series X to work. I play using an ethernet cable plugged into the network for my job and have never had any issues until last week. I got to work, plugged in my Xbox and when I connected my ethernet cable, the Xbox was connecting to the internet but not Xbox Live. If I run a test of the internet connection, it tells me that it's connected to the internet, but when I run a test for multiplayer connection, it fails.

I brought my PS4 to work the other day and it connected just fine, allowing me to play online and update games. I tried several solutions that I had found online, such as clearing the MAC, upgrading to a Cat 7 ethernet cable, restarting the console as well as doing a full console reset to no avail.

Because it's a connection that is being used at work, I can't simply reset the router, etc and I can't exactly just ask the IT guy being as I'm not supposed to be connecting/playing while at work. I'm not very tech savvy, so I was wondering if anyone has any other advise or possible solutions that I can try?

I was using a portable hotspot for awhile before I found the wired connection here at work, but that was months ago and I got rid of it. I'd rather not go back and have to pay for the hotspot again, if possible.
