Connected to the internet but can't connect to Xbox Live

I'm having some trouble connecting to Xbox LIVE for some reason. Apparently I'm connected to the internet but cannot connect to Xbox LIVE. In order to try and fix the problem I have:

• - Signed out and then back in.
• - Gone "Offline".
• - Disconnected my wireless network.
• - Tested the Network Connection.
• - Tested the Multiplayer Connection.
• - Restarted my modem.
• - Cleared persistent storage
• - Cleared Alternate MAC addresses
• - Done a Hard Reset
• - Netflix works fine although I have to choose "offline" in order for it to work
  

My current network status:

• NAT Type: Moderate.
• All services are available

My roommate's Xbox is set up and working just fine so why won't mine do the same? I'm tired of paying for this Xbox Gold and not being able to use it because it's not working.

Can't connect to XBox Live on my XBox 360

I have never connected to the Internet using a gaming console, but I can't connect to Xbox Live.

I can't connect to live at all. the test says I am connected to the internet but will not connect to live.

 

Seems to me that you are having an odd issue. Here is a quick list of things to do. Some of it you have already done. So please bare with me.

Step 1: Unplug your router / modem from the power. (Leave unplugged for a full 10 minutes for it to drop your ISP and arp tables if you want to)

Step 2: Unplug your xbox from the power.

Step 3: Plug your modem back in. Wait for all the lights to turn on. Then plug your router back in if you have one and wait for all the lights to come back on.

Step 4: Plug your xbox back in and turn it on.

Now if the problem is still happening continue on to the next step.

Step 5: Delete your account off your xbox one (make sure you have your email / password to log back in first!). Then Add your account back onto you console. This might be silly but this seems to work for a number of people if they changed
their account password or some important information on their account.

If that does not work then I am out of ideas and you should maybe try calling / chatting with Xbox Official Support. So I hope this helps you out a bit.

 

I have the same issues as OP since two days ago. Will try the above steps.

 

Same issues, I went off my xbox for an hour and it kept saying connect to xbox live. Is this maybe because my gold ran out na few weeks ago, although it was working fine yesterday

 

stevierod1 Please provide the infomation below. Many times the router being used is not robust enough to support two consoles efficiently especially the ones furnished by the ISP.

Genesis1953, Do you have a different router (with specs) that you recommend in order to run 2 Xbox one systems wirelessly in the same small house? We are having the exact same trouble as stevierod1. One xbox one is on the other side of the wall as the router
and has very few connection problems. The other is on the 2nd floor but only has a ceiling/floor in between and has multiple issues with the connection. We recently put in a "booster" router so we wouldn't have issues connecting, but it hasn't made much of
a difference. The detailed statistics on the network go to extremes within minutes. Even when it says everything is good, 0% packet loss, NAT open there is usually issues connecting to xbox live even if we are connected to the internet. We have tried all
the things Stevierod1 has done to try to fix it.

 

Hey guys! Experience this myself! Here are some troubleshooting steps that will help you resolve this issue! This is proven and tested to work!

1. Delete your profile from the console

2. If you're using an xbox one, do clear mac addresses then select Restart

For Xbox 360, do reset network settings and restart

3. Download your profile back, then test or launch any of your games online!

 

I am having the same issues and have done all steps above to try and fix the problem and I am still only able to access Netflix

 

OP here. Thanks for all the helpful responses guys! I used the advice a couple of you stated and deleted my account and signed in again and it seems to be working fine now. On a side note, I contacted my ISP and opened some ports up that support told me
might be the problem so it might have been a combination of me doing both. But when it was just the ports that were newly opened it did not work, even after a hard reset on both modem and Xbox. It wasn't until I deleted my account on my Xbox and re-did it
that it began to work.

mines not working wither, telling me that they could not sign me in , please try in a few minutes, sign in 0x87DD0006

 

There are a lot of folks having issues. I play ESO and just checked with my guildmates and there's about 30 that are getting the same error. I've logged out, rebooted console and router, tried logging back in to no avail. I've tried removing my profile and
that didn't work either.

 

Same issue here. I have a connection but cannot connect to XBL though ...
