Connected to live but can't load online games

Okay so I'm connected to live and can do everything else online bar play online games can anyone help me fix this?

I can't get my profile loaded

Well, that's it, unless I'm connected to Xbox Live the console says I'm not allowed to load a profile, so i must be connected online in order to get my profile loaded, this issue started since I tried to configure mi kinect ID ( it did an offline update
) after that, I can't load my profile to start a game if i'm not connected, I only choose between check my internet connection and not continue without saving the game :S

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

So like, if you don't mind, could you tell me if you get some kind of error?

Does it say you can't play because you don't have the right privileges?

If it does, and you just recently renewed live and powercycling doesn't help, try maybe redownloading your profile from Xbox Live using the steps here on

I don't get an error code and it just sits on the loading screen saying it's trying to connect to the server and just never does anything, but all my offline games work and my other internet stuff works like Netflix , youtube

Was having the same issue,none of my games would play online spent hours trying to get help from Xbox support for them to blame it on my internet. But I just fixed the issue myself here's what I did I went to setting then network settings then advanced
setting then dns setting then I changed my dns and alt dns to 8.8.4.4 and now all my games work online.

 

You are not alone. I have seen multiple users having this issue. I got the issue last night. I have been using the same provider for years and never had an issue. First, it would disconnect from xbox live but only online gaming. Second, it kicked me from
party chats. I have been unable to do either since. I have contacted support for both my ISP and Xbox with no help. I am able to access every other xbox live feature (youtube, netflix, twitch,community posts and videos, mixer, etc.). When testing my network
connection it states “Its All Good” and all services are available but when testing my multiplayer connection it says the test cannot be completed. I have reset and factory restored my modem, router, and xbox. I have done port forwarding. I deleted my account
and restored it. I have created a new account. I have used different network connections including another providers service from a friend and my phones personal hotspot. Non of which worked. I was sitting next to my friend while he connected to his just fine
but still showed the issue for myself. Trying multiple network connections with no luck should be a red flag that a network connection is not the issue.

 

I was having this issue all I did to fix it was go to network setting and advanced then dns settings and changed my dns and alt dns to 8.8.4.4 now all my games work

 

The fix that I found that worked for brother,3 of my friends and myself was to go to network setting then advanced settings then dns settings and change dns and alt dns to 8.8.4.4 now all my games work online again

 

Hard reset the console to see if it fixes that problem
