Connected to internet but can’t connect to xbox live

So my brother is having an issue where he is connected to the internet, but cant connect to xbox live. I have an xbox as well and am not having issues. We know its an issue with his xbox specifically because i signed into my account on his xbox, and it
still wont connect. (were on same connection)

Thanks for posting on the Xbox forums. We need a little more information to make sure we provide the correct solution. Is your brother using an Xbox One or an Xbox One? Does your brother get an error message when he tests the multiplayer connection
in
the network settings? What is your brother's NAT type? You can locate his NAT type in his console's network settings. Be sure to let us know the results

Hi,

It seems your console is not able to detect or connect to your network, or can’t establish an Internet connection, or cannot connect to Xbox Live.

Check the support @ Troubleshoot your Xbox One network connection if it helps.

Every game just won’t connect, Diablo says it can’t connect to game server and PoE says Xbox live is unavailable. Gang beast says “failed to connect Please check internet.” YouTube and all other streaming services work just fine
