Connected but not really?

I've been having problems with my xbox for the past day, haven't been on it since the beginning of Feb. It says I'm connected to the internet, I run the multiplayer connection and it says it's good, but I can't load anything online. No friendslist, no marketplace,
nothing. I've tried clearing my dns, didn't work. I've tried resetting my xbox that also didn't work. I've disconnected from the internet and reconnected still nothing.

Connected But Not Connected

I'm right there with you. I have had the ISP (Comcast) reprovision the connection. I have reset everything in everyway I can think of. I am connected directly to the modem by a wired connection, so no router concerns. I get the same DHCP error under
network connection and the multiplayer test returns a "Your network is not set up" error. Meanwhile I can connect to Hulu, Netflix, etc.

Most irritating is that I can connect to my neighbor's wifi, and it works fine. Any ideas?

 

Achievement submission works as I have an achievement from today, I can see my friendslist on the snap bar but that's it.

 

Hi can you please try another hard reset of the console by pressing and holding the power button on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds once it has shut down please unplug the power 5 minutes. Whilst you are doing waiting I would suggest you also restart
your internet connection.

Hopefully this will get you back up and running correctly.

On your Home screen, does it still give you the message "Connect to Xbox Live" even though you are connected to a network? If this is the case, sign out of your profile, and sign back in.
