Connected but not connected.

Having a bit of trouble with my Xbox One Live connection, my network is all up and running smoothly, the other computer on my home network connects just fine but no matter what I try I can't get XBox Live to realize 'hey I have a working connection!'.

In the network settings it says the NAT type is open but the service info is unavailable. Trying to get detailed network info it tells me to go online...but techncially I am already since I only have the option to 'Go offline'.

Any idea why this is giving me so much hassle today? I was connected fine Saturday but today nothing I do is letting me in.

Same problem my way friend. I cant see my friends, or my pins. I recently just updated to the new Dashboard,and it was running so smoothly. I'm afraid these network problems might be the cause consequences of the Dashboard

 

My Xbox constantly has to be switched from wireless to a wired connection, and always gives me some crap about my router or modem! Weird considering my other devices stay connected after being connected. I've spent plenty of time on the phone with Microsoft
trying to fix multiple problems. I pay a lot for high speed internet just like everyone else, but PlayStation customers don't pay extra for service. What's the logical plan of action?

Every time I update issues arise

And of course the warranty is up so I might be expected to pay to resolve the issue due to no fault of my own

Very frustrating

 

For all the others with this issue, was talking to one of the support techs and he got me back up and running. Apparently the steps I missed in trying to fix this included:

1) Clear out your persistent storage (guess this is sorta like a computers cache)

2) Activate the Alternate MAC address

3) Reboot.

Got me up and running again almost instantly (had to redownload my profile after trying that 'fix', so likely isn't part of the actual solution)

I'm having the same issue with some twists, my hard drive says it's empty, 2tb hard drive with at least half used for games, gone. No friends are appearing to me. All live options are down. And for the games I have cds for. No saved data has been found.
This is the second time being right now its doing this. Happened two days ago after this new update, everything just magically came back. Please give me a hand on fixing this issue.

 

Same annoying issue here. Watching movies on Netflix is impossible some days, and i have to go back to my smart TV. Why losing live connection have to block any other online service like Netflix, Skype?

 

I actually just bought an X1 yesterday. Been having the same exact issues. Gotta say, its a bit unfortunate this is my first impressions for the console from playing a PS4.

 

getting on my nerves nothing works im blaming it on poor software and hardware some people need to be sacked within xbox

 

no live connection no live games what a bunch of crap pay for world of tanks and cant play or log in. thanks microsoft again maybe time to change to sony
